St Thomas More Place, St Matthews Road, Winchester

St Thomas More is a contemporary scheme of just eight homes and is a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties, both detached, semi-detached and terraced. Thoughtfully set back from Stoney Lane to respect the surrounding homes, the scheme has carefully positioned each of the homes to create a unique private courtyard and the setting for an intimate micro community. A modern, warm colour palette of materials has been chosen to complement the traditional design of the adjoining homes and the elevations incorporate generous glazed areas, maximising natural light into rooms, a signature of a Hazeley build.

Hazeley Developments' traditionally styled homes have all the advantages of modern building technology, which results in a comfortable living environment, easy maintenance and economical running costs.

These four detached houses are tucked away off Barrow Hill in a secluded setting and each sits in a generous garden designed to encourage residents outside to enjoy the sense of space and views over open fields.

The buildings celebrate traditional materials and the red brick elevations have detailed tile hanging, plain tiles to the principal roof and slate roof over the porch and bay windows. Stone window sills add further substance to the design.

The hipped style of the roofs fit with the Hampshire vernacular and the dormer windows are an attractive feature externally whilst creating interesting ceiling lines in the first floor rooms.

Banksia, Awbridge, Nr Romsey

One of the homes, Banksia, is the original house which has been completely refurbished to a high standard and the other, set by its side, is designed to mirror the double fronted Victorian architecture with fine bay windows topped by tall gables. This is a feature carried through to the three individual family homes positioned further into the scheme, each individually designed with an attractive blend of red brick elevations, some tile hanging, and either a clay tile or slate roof.

Our architects have responded to the demands of today’s purchasers and all our homes have open plan kitchens with glazed doors to the sunny rear gardens giving a natural flow to outside space.
