Communities secretary Eric Pickles rejects CALA Homes Winchester proposal

The proposal which would have seen 2,000 houses being built along with a local shopping centre, health and community facilities, business space and landscaping on Greenfields land at Barton Farm has been turned down by communities secretary Eric Pickles.

He did see the 800 affordable homes as providing a considerable benefit to the area but saw no real compelling justification for the development to be given consent.

Third property occupied at Queens View

Three of the five plots are now occupied at Queens View, Basingstoke. With strong sales and a further plot under offer as well as lots of interest in the final plot, things are looking good for the Queens View development.
